Christmas School Concert
GJ's class performed a beautiful song about snowflakes, so all the
kids had to wear white clothes...guess who refused to do so? :)

Mr.Softie (still going strong), a trip to Modena to see zio Vincenzo
and cousin Vittorio, and making a lemon-face.
Our new friend Nazim invited us to join him and another 80 or so
expats for a big thanksgiving celebration in the hills west of
Piacenza. Little did we know cousins Laura, Chicco and Zoo were going
to be there too!
Catching up with the photo-blog after way too long...here are some
photos from November 2008.
We took the whole gang to one of our favorite spots in nearby Switzerland for lunch. We took advantage of the break in the rain to walk around a bit and say "MOO" to the cows. 1- This sign is on the door leading up to the restaurant. You know it's a classy joint when... 2- So charming! Such fresh air! I love it here! 3- Marty feeding the wild beast. What a pro! 4- I tacked this photo on. Peldi & the Guids in Florence a few days earlier.
We spent our long weekend in Uggiate with our new friends Christie, Marty and their son Owen. They are from in Madison, WI, but are living in Florence for the year. Though it rained most of the time, we still had lots of fun indoors! 1- Guido playing the piano. Key by key, the little man sang his ABC's. 2- Peldi handles the meats. 3- Risotto Milanese in the works. I'm drooling all over again... 4- Christie and a napping Owen on the veranda. 5- More food! Can you even believe the fat to meat ratio of that pancetta?!
We spent a nice long weekend in Uggiate in October. It was a bit cold and rainy, but the colors were beautiful! 1 & 2- Trees in the garden. 3- Colorforms art on the veranda windows.
We had a few weekends in a row with lots of cousins visiting from Milan and London. Guido loves learning new things from the older ones. And most of the time, we are happy about it too! 1- Big boy cousin love. 2- Cousins from Milan and London came to town to celebrate Nonno Eugenio's birthday. 3-5- Mariah and Laura goofing around with the camera.
On October 15, 2008, Guido turned 3! What a special day. We celebrated with a party at his school, followed by a party at our house. 1 & 2- Guido's party at school. He liked the crostata, but wasn't quite so sure about all of the attention he got that day. 3- Working on his coloring with his peeps. 4- Check it out! 5- The party at our place. Sorry for the terrible pic, but check out the 3 candle holders on his cake. They are hand-painted ceramic Smurfs made by Nonno Guido from Peldi's childhood!
