Frisbee Technique in Puglia

We had a fabulous visit with Will, Jo, baby Dylan, and Amy in Lecce at the beginning of August. What better activity for a nude beach bound Guido than frisbee with Zio Will?

1- Here it comes Will!!!
2- Hammer!
3- That cool cucumber is going to catch it!
4- Damn I'm good. Let's do it 400 more times.

Boxes And Glamour in July

1- After 2 months on a cargo ship, our boxes finally arrived in Bologna.
2- Guido thought the boxes were pretty fun to play in...and around. Once he discovered that his toys were inside he quickly took inventory.
3- Zia Alice brought her magic washable face crayons to La Sperduta. Soon Guido had numerous buttons drawn all over his arms- Buzz Lightyear style.
4- Do you remember your first Mocktail?

June at La Sperduta

We spent a lot of time at Nonno Guido's house close to the Adriatic Sea during June and July. Granny Mary and Nonno Grandpa came for a nice long visit during this time. We miss them terribly already!

1- Peldi and Guido at the beach in Porto Recanati.
2- Here again with the American Nonni in the water.
3- The view from the pool at La Sperduta. Wheat fields, sunflowers and medieval towers. Not too shabby.
4- In my anti-gravity suit, i swam in these beautiful clouds one night.

More Uggiate Fun

We took another mini-vacation to Uggiate in the middle of June to visit with more family.

1- Grumpy Guido, photo courtesy of Cousin Laura, age 8.
2- Guido and his cousin Lily in the "Chocolate Lake".
3- Guido's first tennis racquet. He's hooked.
4- One of the walls of Jasmine. I'm a Carolina girl. The smell was overwhelmingly nostalgic.

In Bologna

We haven't spent very much time in Bologna so far, but come September it will be our hometown.

1- Guido and Peldi kickin' it on the stoop at our new apartment on Via San Donato.
2- Manuela & her BFF Stefania enjoying a peaceful moment before the Ladies only party.

French Castles

We attended a beautiful wedding in France (congratulations again Julien & Kimberly!) at the end of May.

1- Chenonceau in the Loire Valley. Guido was mostly excited about the stagnate moat. The mama... not so much.
2- We missed our flight from Paris back to Bologna and had to stay in a nearby airport hotel. It was at this point Peldi pointed out that we are no longer a 2 star family. The accommodations were bleak at best... but at least Guido was good natured about it!

Our first much needed vacation after moving from SF to Bologna

We took a nice 5 day vacation to Uggiate to rest. It was such a nice treat to sit back and relax after our exhausting move. Here are some pics of Guido:

1- checking out the "his size" house in the garden
2- looking like a pro with his GIANTS baseball bat
3- taking his first run around Lake Como
